AMMAN Valley Paddlers canoe club sailed to victory in a canoe polo tournament as part of the Cardiff Bay Canoeing Festival recently. They won their first three matches and lost one before getting to the Final against Aberfan Canoe Club. At the close of the first half of the final, AVP were 5-3 down but after a tactical team talk with their coach Nigel Midgely, they made a comeback and dominated the second half and won the final 7-5.
